With a background in computing science I have been creating websites since 2003. I have used both Joomla and WordPress to create modern, responsive websites, but now I use WordPress for all my websites, and indeed have converted several Joomla sites to WordPress sites.
Why WordPress? WordPress is now the world’s favourite and best-established Content Management System (CMS), and is used by over 75 million websites. it is popular both with developers and users. Developers like its flexibilty and extensibility, and users enjoy an easy-to-use editing interface.
With my knowledge of PHP programming and of mySQL database design I am also able to provide enhanced functionality to websites if required, such as providing custom back-office routines to support the requirements of individuals, societies, businesses or organisations. Your website can thus be used to support such things as membership records, accounts, sales of goods, and so forth.
